KIEV, October 21. /TASS/. Russian representatives can be included in a group of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) observers who will monitor the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine scheduled for October 26, spokesman for the Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC) Konstantin Khivrenko told TASS on Tuesday.

“Russian State Duma deputies can be included in a group of OSCE observers. It was so, for example, at the presidential elections in Ukraine on May 25. Two Russian representatives were included in the OSCE observer group,” Khivrenko said.

He declined to make any forecasts on how many Russians would arrive to monitor the elections. “This depends on the Russian side. They can arrive any day, even on the eve of the voting,” Khivrenko said.

On Monday, October 20, the Central Election Commission completed the registration of official observers from foreign countries and international organizations. At least 2,321 people, including 304 representatives from 21 states and 2,017 representatives from international organizations, were granted an official observer status.
