Putin urges government to take measures to improve investment climate

NOVO-OGAREVO, October 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin urged the government to take all effort to improve domestic investment climate so that this will be reflected not only in ratings, but also in real conditions for work.

“In current conditions we should do so that we will move forward quite substantially, noticeably not only for ratings, but also for business so that people will feel that it is comfortable and convenient to work in Russia,” Putin said.

He urged to achieve concrete results. Meanwhile, the fact that Russia climbed from the 124th position to the 62nd place in World Bank’s latest Doing Business rating points to good work of the government and the Agency of Strategic Initiatives, Putin said. “This is very good, as these are concrete working results of the government, the Agency of Strategic Initiatives that we have set up not in vain,” the president said, adding that this was not enough and there was something to work on.
